How it Works: boat gauges tech talk
We have noticed that often where analogue gauges fail, it is not the sensor or the wiring, but the gauge itself that had been infiltrated by water, is sun damaged or the like.
Our MEMU-7 range of digital boat gauges modules operate as follows:
The MEMU-7 range is a clean, robust digital approach to a full set of analogue boat gauges. 10 individual gauges are consolidated into one 7-inch touchscreen - a more modern and familiar way to access your boat's systems both day and night. The unit uses existing single- and two-wire standard sensors in your engines and tanks to read the same varied resistance you currently use, then digitizes and displays that signal. This alone offers an expansion and enhancement to your current monitoring capabilities.
To achieve this, each gauge is configured to its sensor during the setup process. The operator configures every gauge to their existing sensor within the preferred parameters (values, units of measure, etc). To make this easier, the unit reads the sensor's resistance in the config page.

Our technology is in the process of being patented for its unique ability to be integrated into any existing system: Australian patent application no. 2023902335.
We believe that just because your boat isn't brand new doesn't mean that the helm can't be sleek, modern and innovative. Enhancing your cruising safety on the water, having full confidence in your boat's performance, and overall peace of mind are the main reasons we designed the MEMU-7 range of digital boat gauges.
