Commercial / Fleet Management

YOUR FLEET'S VISIBILITY - ESSENTIAL DATA AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

Toba Marine Technology has embarked on a new road that fills a well-established gap in many commercially operated vessels/fleets.

With the World's commercial fleets now moving toward real-time cloud-based reporting of engine metrics and alarm report, Toba Marine Technology has produced the MEMU-7ix model along with a number of supporting sensors to gather and report meaningful engine metrics from mechanical engines the same way that later model electronic engines do via J1939/NMEA2000 communications protocols. The data from the older mechanical engines is then broadcast from the units to any available cloud-based fleet management platforms.

SOLVING YOUR DATA-COLLECTION ACCURACY IN REAL TIME.

There are obvious efficiency and compliance advantages where fleets of commercial vessels can report in real-time the current state of their engine and vessel operations data.  Now, with the upcoming release of the MEMU-7ix, the vessel's helm will be upgraded from older style analogue gauges to new, digital touchscreens which broadcast engine data constantly while in operation to a third-party platform onboard the vessel. That platform then sends data where it is monitored and analysed in cloud-based software to drive improved operational outcomes.

Toba Marine Technology has understood that real-world outcomes are reached by obtaining the correct engine data. Statistics such as fuel burn in real-time, total fuel burns, coolant temp, oil pressure, throttle position, boost, charge air temp, vessel position, vessel speed, rudder position can be selected as engine metrics that are sent to the cloud based platform to be analysed with the intention of driving better efficiency and management outcomes.

Often, fleets are a mixed bag of electronic engines and older mechanical engines.  Now, an operator can obtain 100% fleetwide visibility rather than having the mechanical engines form a gap in the meaningful data from the fleet.

Toba Marine Technology is now exploring partnerships with third-party vessel management platforms, and the MEMU-7ix model is intended for both private and white labelled applications with tailored software options to suit the needs of any size operator/fleet.

The hardware and software solutions will be ready for fitment in July 2025, as development and testing are now almost complete.
