Toba Main Engine Monitoring Unit (MEMU-7ix) is a universal solution for replacing analogue gauges on your boat's helm, and the next generation of unit from the original MEMU-7 and with upgraded capability from the MEMU-7i.

Designed, manufactured and quality-controlled right here in Perth, Western Australia, this 7-inch digital touchscreen module is completely universal and configurable to fit your specific vessel, eliminating the need to replace working sensors.  

The MEMU-7ix is compatible with all marine engines that use analogue sensors which use resistance, voltage or pulse as signals.  If the engine is not fitted with analogue sensors by default, those sensors can be added, and the unit can be used.

This unit has 8 input channels, which are entirely configurable by the user, along with reading the unit's own voltage (voltage from the engine harness powering the unit) and GPS speed. 

Every gauge can be selected as to what it displays and from where it obtains its data. Every wired input/gauge can be alarmed both audibly and visually. The MEMU-7ix is improved from the original MEMU-7 with higher screen brightness and resolution, improved graphics, and higher ability to be universally configured.

The unit's software is updated via its WiFi connectivity. The software is continually supported, and standard software updates are free to Toba customers.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF DIFFERENCE?

The MEMU-7ix features additional capability on the MEMU-7i in that it has an additional communications port which allows for connection to NMEA2000 and J1939 protocols. Via this port, the unit can receive and transmit engine data. If connected to an engine with electronic control, the unit can retrieve and display engine data known and held by the engine's ECU. The MEMU-7ix can also be connected to a mechanical engine, obtain its engine data via an analogue pathway, then broadcast it via the comms port to a third-party network or platform.

With the addition of extra counter inputs, the MEMU-7ix is now able to report on fuel flow. This required additional sensors, and for diesel application, fuel flow from one engine required two extra sensors and uses two of the unit's eight inputs. Fuel flow sensors can be purchased from our store or through a Toba dealer. This allows the operator to monitor the rate of fuel burn in real time at the helm.

Once your order is processed we will prepare it for shipping within 1-3 business days.  Our choice of courier may change without notice should a better rate, timeframe or efficiency are required. 

Whilst we ship worldwide, some countries (particularly across Europe) have ever-changing customs laws and regulations.  The buyer is responsible for any customs charges that may arise.  We ensure that all necessary information and documents are provided to the border authorities during shipping, thus minimising additional expenses or delays.

Return & Replacement Policy

Should your order arrive damaged, please retain ALL PACKAGING, including the outer box/mailing bag, take detailed photos and videos, and contact us via email ASAP. This is very important in order to claim shipping insurance (prepaid) through our courier/mailing agent.

The damaged item needs to be returned to our office for inspection. This will be arranged at our expense.

The Buyer is responsible for carrying out all tasks concerning the claim process, with our guidance - the shipping partners specify and enforce this to be the case. We will provide the details and assist in the process where possible. Your damaged product will be replaced promptly with another.
